Detailed Itinerary
Day 01 : SRINAGAR ARRIVAL & LOCAL SIGHTSEEING
Welcome to Srinagar the Lake city. On arrival to Srinagar Airport you will be met our representative and get transferred in Hotel. Check in hotel, Afternoon proceed to city tour visit famous Mughal gardens like Nishat Garden, Shalimar Garden, Chashma Shahi, Pari Mahal/ Shakar Acharya Temple. In the evening go for a Shikara Ride on the famous Dal Lake. Dinner & overnight stay in Hotel.
Day 02 : Srinagar - Kargil (215 Kms)
Leave in the morning and drive to Kargil by car, rod passes through the panoramic village reach Sonamarg (2740 Mtrs). After Sonamarg, most rough road and wet Zojila pass 3527 Mtrs (Gateway of Ladakh). Continue drive towards Drass (the second coldest inhibited place in the world) we stop here for tea and passport check. Another two and half hours drive will take us to Kargil (2710 Mtrs) which does have its importance after opening of Ladakh for tourists in 1974, overnight at Hotel.
Day 03 : Kargil - Leh (235 Kms)
Leave in the morning full day drive to Leh today we have to ascend three passes this day will be tiresome but panoramic too. First Buddhist village will be Mulbek. We have to cross the highest pass (Fotula 13749 ft.) on Srinagar Leh route. At lunchtime, we will be at Larnayuru oldest Monastery. Continue drive to next village Nimu a view of Zanskar River following into Indus. Finally, we reach Leh 3500 Mtrs. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 04 : LEH LOCAL SITESEEING
Morning after breakfast Have enough rest & relax. Afternoon proceed to local sightseeing visit Magnetic Hill, Confluence of Zanskar & Indus River and Gurudwara Patthar Sahib. Visit Spituk Gompa and Hall of Fame during your return to Leh town. On your way back, visit Spituk Monastery (Kali Mata Temple) and Ladakh Hall of fame. After your visit, return to the hotel. Dinner & overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 05 : Leh - Nubra Valley via khardong la pass/125 KMS
After Breakfast drive to Nubra Valley via Khardungla (Highest Motorable road in the World, 18,380 ft). Arrive at Deskit by Afternoon. Rest of the day one is free to explore Deskit, Hunder Villages and camel Safari in Sand Dunes between Deskit and Hunder Village. Overnight Hotel.
Day 06 : NUBRA VALLEY- DESKIT - KHARDUNGLA PASS – LEH
After Breakfast visit Deskit Monastery and drive back to Leh by same Route, crossing Khardungla Pass. Overnight Hotel.
Day 07 : LEH - PANGONG LAKE / 4080 m /155 km
After early Breakfast leave for Pangong Lake (14,500 ft), through Changla Pass 17,350 ft.,it is the third highest motorable road in the world. 1200 hrs. arrive Pangong,it is the highest salt water Lake in the World, shared by two countries India & China. Enjoy the beauty of the lake on the Banks of pangong while appreciating the changing Colors and fascinating high altitude of the Lake. Dinner & overnight stay at In camp at Pangong
Day 08 : Pangong – Shey – Thiksey – Leh
Early morning Stroll around Pangong lake & experience the nature beauty. After breakfast check out from hotel & drive back to Leh over Changla Pass (5,360 m ) & take a short halt at Changla Pass. After that drive towards Leh En-route visit Shey Palace & thiksey Monastary. After that drive towards Leh. Dinner & overnight stay at hotel.
Day 09 : LEH - KARGIL / 420 Kms
After breakfast , check out from the hotel & drive towards KARGIL. On arrival at check into the hotel and rest of the day free for relaxation.. Dinner. KARGIL Overnight Stay.
Day 10 : KARGIL- SONMARG - SRINAGAR & departure transfer
Today after breakfast proceed towards Srinagar enroute take short halt at Sonmarg also known as "THE MEADOW OF GOLD", enjoy the White mountains covered with snow and the River Sindh flowing through the valley. On arrival at Srinagar you will be dropped at airport for onward journey with memorable experience .
